HelloRadio

It was New Years Eve. 2008 was giving way to 2009. I was having a conversation with a friend that I grew up playing music with. We were in our mid twenties living in and around New York City. We were both asking each other the same question, "why don't we play music anymore?". Neither of us had a good answer. So, out of that conversation, we recruited two of our old friends and started HelloRadio. Just like that, we were an indie-pop band giving it a good, honest try.

The four of us spent several years making records, touring and playing for anyone who would listen. We played everywhere, from tiny basement shows to big festivals with some of our favorite bands like The Walkmen, The Flaming Lips, Action Bronson and many others.

Eventually the four of us would move on to other projects - in music and in tech. We remain close friends and even if music isn't how we make our living anymore, it is still an important part of each of our lives. I had an amazing time playing in the band and I learned a lot from the experience. Today, I refer to HelloRadio as my first startup.

If you'd like to hear our music, you can listen to the records that we made on iTunes and Spotify.
